About the Order
Our Organization
A global structure united in service to the Church in the Holy Land.
How the Order is governed
An estimated 30,000 Knights and Dames from 40 nations are organised in nearly 60 Lieutenancies and 10 Magistral Delegations worldwide. Each Lieutenancy is composed of Sections, which are subdivided into Delegations, with local leaders assisted by clergy serving as Priors.
All leaders serve four-year terms with the possibility of one renewal, which brings fresh perspectives while maintaining continuity. Priors assist local leaders in spiritual formation and guidance, so that the Order’s religious mission remains central. Members’ spiritual commitment is accompanied by financial support for the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem and the Church in the Holy Land.
